Sir Oko Chukwu Mourns Demise of Religious Icon, Rev Dr Uma Ukpai

The immediate past Deputy Governor of Abia State,Rt.Hon.Sir Ude Oko Chukwu has joined Abians, Nigerians and the International Community to mourn the demise of Rev.Dr.Uma Ukpai at the age of 80years.

The former Deputy Governor who received the sad and heart-rending news of the passing on of the internationally acclaimed Tele-Evangelist and Man of God, with immense shock and painful devastation stated that Nde Ohafia LGA, Abia State and Nigeria have lost an illustrious son and Minister of the Gospel.

Sir Oko Chukwu urged Abians and Nigerians and all people of goodwill across the globe to take solace in the fact that the elderstatesman acquitted himself creditably while alive and will be remembered for his solid contributions to the growth and development of Abia State in particular and Nigeria in general.

Describing the late Rev.Dr.Uma Ukpai as one of the grand masters of Tele-Evangelism in Nigeria, Sir Oko Chukwu recalled with nostalgia his outstanding philanthropy and contributions to the founding of King of Kings Hospital and Uma Ukpai Polytechnic both in Asaga Ohafia.

Sir Oko Chukwu prayed God who knows and determines the end of every mortal from the beginning to grant the soul of Rev.Dr.Uma Ukpai eternal rest and give the family, the people of Asaga Ohafia and Ohafia LGA,Abia State and Nigeria,the fortitude to bear the exit of the octogenarian Man of God and Elderstatesman, to the world beyond.
