My Invitation For Gov Otti To Join APC Was Done Out of Sincerity of Purpose – Reps Deputy Speaker Kalu

The Deputy Speaker of the 10th House of representatives The Rt Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has reiterated that his call for Governor Alex Otti to join the ruling All Progressives Congress APC was done out of Sincerity of purpose.

The eloquent and soft spoken legal giant made this clarification while interacting with newsmen in his Bende country home today.

In his exact words Rt Hon Kalu said;

“My call for the Governor to join APC was done in good faith. I made that call not only because he was one of us in APC, but because i believe in synergy.”

“I am of the APC and each time i see other progressive Governors sitting together and discussing and aggregating towards the interest of their states, my state Governor will be missing and i felt it was only proper for my Governor to align with the center.”

“Truth is, if he had heeded that call, we all would have rallied around him and support him and this would have ended the rumours flying around today, but he didnt heed that call and we are no asking him to join, the time we asked him to join has passed.”

“Whether anyone likes it or not, our party the will field a candidate, it must not be me, but whoever it is will get the support of all of us in APC and that is what i had wanted for Gov. Otti.”
