Man Who Raped Our Daughter Is Threatening Our Lives – Family Cries Out To Abia Governors Wife Mrs Otti

Mrs Adanma Offor of Umuohu Okpula Mbaocha Ndume Ibeku has sent an SOS message to the amiable wife of the Governor, Her Excellency Mrs Priscillia Otti to intervene over the alleged rape of her 12 years old daughter Little Miss Adanne Offor, by one Mr. Lawrence Ohaeri, currently detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department Umuahia.

Speaking to our correspondent few days ago in Umuahia, Mrs Offor stated that the accused who is currently in police custody has been sending threat messages to the family that he will deal with them once he is released, boasting of his connections, and dropping the name of a serving commissioner in the state, a pattern which has always seen him to go scot free from previous allegations of rape!

Investigation reveals that this is not the first accusation of rape and paedophilia leveled against Mr Ohaeri. Sometime in 2019, the same man was stripped stark naked at Umuohu in same Ndume Ibeku for allegedly defiling another child.

According to indigenes and residents of Ohokobe Ndume, this man is alleged to have committed so many atrocities in the past and was fond of def!ling little girls but whenever he is accosted and arrested, he will use his connection to thwart justice.

In January this year, he allegedly defiled an 11 years old girl, and went ahead to boast that he is above arrest and prosecution and has been on the run.

Few days ago the youths of the community, apprehended and handed him over to the police.

When contacted about the development the Eze of the Community, His Royal Highness Eze Rexford Ikechi Ohaeri has this to say:

“I am the Eze of the Community and my palace is open to all but I will never support or condone evil.”

“The accused, Lawrence is my subject and the child who was allegedly raped is my relation”.

“When the matter was reported to me by the grandmother of the child, I advised they should report the matter immediately to the police and that they should also have their evidence intact because rape accusation is not a trivial matter”.

“My worry is that the accused have been accused of rape and paedophilia in the past but that does not make him guilty. The Police should properly investigate the matter and if he is found guilty, he should face the full wrath of the law”, he concluded.

The family is therefore calling on the office of the wife of the Governor to intervene on their behalf to ensure that their daughter gets justice and to also forestall a recurrence of the devilish incident in the community again!
