The immediate past minority leader of Abia state house of Assembly Hon Chijioke Chukwu has faulted the appointment of Hon Nnanna Uzor Kalu, the younger brother of the Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu into the National Assembly Service commission.

Speaking during an interview with Flo FM 94.9, he stated that the appointment of members of the National Assembly Service commission is the exclusive prerogative of the principal officer from each geopolitical zone.

According to him, there is no way the appointment of Nnanna Uzor Kalu would have happened without the express assent of the Deputy speaker Rt Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu, who conceded the position to Senator Kalu who went from one leader to the other complaining that he was not accommodated in appointments in the South East Development Commission, where he had wanted his other younger brother Mascot Uzor Kalu to be made the ED Finance.

Hon Chukwu stated that Senator Kalu went to the deputy speaker, the speaker of the house of representatives, the Senate President and other leaders to complain that he was not carried along, even after he was appointed chairman Senate committee on SEDC.

When the Deputy speaker finally gave in to his pleas, instead of using the position to compensate one of the people who have served him for decades from other local governments, thereby decentralizing power and giving those local governments in Abia North a sense of belonging, he choose to keep the appointment in his immediate family.

That is the mentality of the man called Orji Kalu.

He grabs power and also grabs for his immediate younger brothers before thinking of any other person.

Chukwu queried and faulted the reward system of Senator Uzor Kalu, who has always prioritized his immediate family over his followers.

He admonished politicians to only queue behind leaders with an impeccable reward system devoid of selfish tendencies!
