The Abia State Chapter of the City Boy Movement has announced a fresh round of leadership changes, new strategic appointments, and the creation of a key operational office aimed at strengthening coordination and expanding grassroots engagement across the state.

The development was conveyed in an internal memorandum dated April 10, 2026, and signed by the State Director, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, following a comprehensive review of the Movement’s structure and activities.

According to the directive, several leadership replacements have taken immediate effect across key Local Government Areas and strategic units. In Isuikwuato LGA, Joseph Odomuke has been appointed Coordinator, replacing Okechukwu Henry Okorie, while Nathanial Majesty Idam Elakwa takes over the Strategy and Planning Unit from Daphne Osakwe. In Obingwa LGA, Hon. Lazarus Enyinnaya Nwamaghinna replaces Sunday Hanson Amaechi, and in Ugwunagbo LGA, Esiaba Chinkereze succeeds Erica Godwin Ezenwoke as Coordinator.

All outgoing officials have been directed to carry out an immediate and seamless handover of responsibilities, materials, and relevant documents to their successors in the interest of continuity and organizational efficiency.

As part of efforts to strengthen zonal operations, the Movement also approved new appointments, naming Orji Chikezirim Monday as Contact and Mobilization Lead for Abia South Zone, while Chief Azu Victor assumes the same role for Abia Central Zone. These appointments are expected to enhance communication, coordination, and grassroots mobilization across the respective zones.

In a notable move reflecting the growing influence of youth culture and the creative sector, the Movement established a new strategic office focused on engagement through lifestyle and entertainment. Hon. Eke Janson C., popularly known as the CEO of Indiana Lounge and “Asiwaju of Nightlife,” has been appointed as Head of Creative Economy, Tourism and Entertainment. The office is expected to drive innovative initiatives targeting youth participation and statewide engagement.

Further reinforcing its structure in Abia South, the Movement confirmed additional appointments, including Ikedinachi Charles Isikaku as Lead for Grassroots Engagement and Field Operations, with oversight of ward-level coordination and community mobilization, and Hon. Eze Foy Walton as Lead for Stakeholder Relations and Special Projects, responsible for managing key relationships and strategic assignments.

Speaking on the changes, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe emphasized that the restructuring is designed to reposition the Movement for greater effectiveness and closer connection with the people.

He noted that the new appointments reflect a deliberate effort to build a more organized, responsive, and result-driven structure, adding that all appointees are expected to justify the confidence reposed in them through discipline, commitment, and measurable impact.
