Nkpa Day 2025: A Tapestry of A People’s History, Culture, Tradition And Poise For Unity

As people all over the world will be celebrating a new year and thanking God for the grace to partake from 2025, the people of Nkpa Ancient Kingdom will be laying a foundation of what is expected to become a norm and a perennial celebration.

A celebration of the history, tradition and culture of arguably the largest clan in the largest local government in Southeastern Nigeria.

Nkpa, a community made up of seven autonomous community bonded by same ancestry tracing their origin to the great Imenyi dynasty, and home to celebrated Academicians, Captains of Industry and Passionate leaders.

The 2nd of January will showcase culture at its best. From the various beautiful and dreaded Masquerades, the Ogba L’elu and Ebi, to the local cuisines and delicacies, ofe Achara and akpurakpu egusi.

Sons and daughters of this great clan will gather to chat a new course and lay the foundation for a sociocultural renaissance that will re-echo and re-enact the ethos hitherto bonding this so great a people.

Dignataries expected to grace the occasion include the Deputy speaker of the House of representatives, Rt. Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu CON, the Governor of Abia state Dr. Alex Otti OFR, the Senator Representing Abia North Senator Orji Uzor Kalu MON, among several other dignataries!
