OTTI Vs BEN KALU: Group reacts to “ABIANS FOR SUSTENANCE OF GOOD GOVERNANCE” statement, describes them as HIRED STOOGES

Our attention has been drawn to a laughable press statement issued by a faceless and self serving group that calls itself “Abians for Sustenance of Good Governance (ASGG)”, which in reality is nothing more than a band of hired stooges and media aides doing the dirty bidding of Governor Alex Otti.
Let it be stated clearly and unequivocally that the group’s claims are baseless, ill motivated, and reek of desperation. Their entire statement is nothing but a poorly scripted attempt to distract from the glaring realities of misgovernance, deception, and lack of transparency that have characterised Otti’s administration since inception.
First, their accusation that Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu is “inciting” the President against the governor is both mischievous and false. The Deputy Speaker merely drew attention to verifiable issues of the N38 billion monthly revenue accruing to the state without commensurate results, issues of transparency and accountability, issues every responsible citizen has a right to question and demand for more given the available resources made possible by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The truth needs no permission to be spoken. If Governor Otti has nothing to hide, why is he afraid of simple questions regarding the management of state resources?
Second, their claim that Otti’s government has “restored public confidence” and is “transforming the state” is laughable. Abians live with the daily reality of underpayment of workers, nonpayment of gratuities and pensions, abandoned roads, cosmetic projects designed for social media optics, and a propaganda driven government that thrives on deceit. If this is the “transformation” they speak of, then it exists only in their imaginations and published on social media platforms using skit makers, content creators, bloggers etc.
Third, the attempt to smear the person of Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, a highly respected national leader and proud son of Abia, exposes the shallow thinking of those behind ASGG. The Deputy Speaker does not need lessons in patriotism or maturity from political errand boys. His record of service and contributions to national development speak for themselves.
Finally, the public is well aware that these individuals are nothing but paid mouthpieces assembled to whitewash a failing administration. No amount of propaganda or emotional blackmail can erase the fact that Governor Otti has failed to operate an open and accountable government.
Abians deserve truth about how Otti’s administration has managed the over N1 trillion received so far in revenue, and not theatrics. We refuse to be bullied into silence by hired praise singers masquerading as advocates of good governance.
The time has come to tell Governor Otti and his media hirelings that governance is not performance theatre. The people of Abia are watching, and no amount of noise from ASGG can cover the cracks of deceit and incompetence.
Enough of the lies. Abia belongs to all of us, not to a cult of propagandists.
