Reps Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon Kalu Meets Ohaneze Ndigbo Leadership, Unveils Peace In Southeast Project
The Deputy speaker of the house of representatives Rt. Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu today met with the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo led by the President General Chief Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.
Below is part of his statements to newsmen after the meeting in Abuja:
“I received with utmost pleasure the delegation from the National Leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide led by the President-General, Chief Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu MFR, on a courtesy visit to my office, today, October 13, 2023.”
“The gathering held particular significance as it brought together some members of the House of Representatives from the Southeast Region in the spirit of unity and camaraderie to discuss the urgent challenges facing the Southeast, with a focus on security and peace.”
“Additionally, we discussed the unveiling of the Peace in Southeast Project (PISEP), aimed at fostering partnership between security agencies and stakeholders as we work toward resolving unrest in the region.
I am indeed grateful for the kind words of encouragement, prayers, and immense support from the President-General and leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
