Again Hon Ginger Onwusibe Floors Prof Agbazuere As Tribunal Throws Out Suit Challenging His Election

The National Assembly election petition tribunal sitting in Umuahia, has dismissed the petition filed by the PDP candidates for Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency Prof A.C.B Agbazuere, challenging the election of Hon Ginger Onwusibe of Labour Party.

According to the tribunal, Agbazuere’s petition is a pre-election matter and therefore statute-barred, the ground upon which The petition was dismissed.

The Tribunal also held that the PDP and Agbazuere (Petitioners) failed to prove their allegation that Onwusibe and the Labour Party, failed to comply with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022.

The tribunal went ahead to award N200,000 cost against the Petitioners to be paid to each of the Respondents included in the petition.
