Former Minority Leader of Abia State House of Assembly and special adviser Intergovernmental Affairs, office of the deputy speaker, federal house of representatives, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu has appealed to stalwarts of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to stay away from attempts to run the newly appointed representative of the state in the board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Dimgba Eroba down.

According to him, Chief Eroba is not only eminently qualified for the job but a card-carrying member of the APC as well, accusing those challenging his appointment of being behind the fragmentation of the party from ward to state level.

Speaking with newsmen on Friday, the former lawmaker expressed concern that those who did all they can to thwart the chances of APC are the ones raising concern about Eroba’s appointment, saying it is laughable.

While attesting to his capacity, integrity and experience in carrying out the mandate of his office, Hon. Chijioke thanked President Bola Tinubu for the appointment, noting that it is a perfect fit.

He also commended the leader of the party in Abia State and the Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu on his leadership style and handling of party issues, stating that it is a demonstration wisdom and outstanding leadership prowess.

“I also want to thank him for the support he willingly and wholeheartedly gave to Chief Dimgba Eroba which contributed to his emergence as Abia representative in NDDC board.

“He is a seasoned technocrat, a round peg in a round hole. Abians will benefit not only from his wealth of experience but his goodwill among party leadership and followership”, he stated.
