Rt Hon Austin Okezie Meregini: The Scorecard of A Dedicated Legislator – Part 2(Educational Support)

In carrying out his legislative and representation duties, the Rt Hon Austin Okezie Meregini understands the important role education plays in the life of young people.

He is a firm believer in the words of Nelson Mandela, that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

He understand that education is the best foundation that can be laid in the life of every human being and he choose not only to prioritize the education of interested constituents but also to encourage them.

So far and within the past 3 and half years, the Deputy Speaker has given Bursaries of ₦100,000 each to over 200 University and other Higher Institution students within the Constituency.

He also extended the same gesture to over 100 secondary school students who he gave Bursaries of N30,000 each.

It didn’t end there, he went down to primary schools, encouraging the younger minds with a Bursary of N20,000 each.

The bursaries are merely the documented efforts of the Deputy speaker, we may not want to go into details of countless indigent students who the burden of their school fees, accomodation fees and upkeep are borne by the Deputy speaker.

All these gestures underscores the premium Rt Hon Austin Okezie Meregini placed on Education and the efforts he puts in to ensure his constituents are beneficiaries of quality education irrespective if their financial status.
