There is No Truth In Mr Nnomele Mbubaegbu’s Claims – Mr Orawusi (Superlative Winners) Tells His side of the Story
The last nay not have been heard on the land dispute between Mr Nnomele Mbubaegbu and Mr Edwin Nnanna Orawusi.
Recall that AbiapulseNews had published the story as recounted by Mr Nnomele Mbubaegbu and couldn’t reach Mr Orawusi as at the time of that publication but continued to make frantic efforts to reach him and eventually got to him few days ago and got his side of the story!
According to him, the story as told by Mr Nnomele Mbubaegbu is “an utmost hogwash and concocted account of what is happening between me and the Mbubaegbu family.”
“Ordinarily I would have ignored the lies and allowed it to fizzle out like every other lie but for posterity sake and in order to set the record straight that is why I am responding to their lies”.
“The truth is that I bought a piece of land from the Mbubaegbu family and before doing that I did my due diligence to find out the true owners of the land.”
“Even When Mr Nnomele Mbubaegbu came forward as a member of the family with his demands, after I had bought the land, as child if God and pursuer of peace I agreed to his demands which he is not even entitled to but just for the sake of peace.”
“The land is question does not belong to Mr Nnomele Mbubaegbu, as he claims rather his late brother, late Isreal Mbubaegbu who redeemed the land from the Nwanganga family who had held the land in exchange for 5 Shillings and as it’s customary in Igboland, that the person who redeems a land and pays the pledge that actually owns the land..’
“And in this case it is late Isreal Mbubaegbu that redeemed the land and as such the land belongs to him and upon his demise his wife Mrs Ann Nwanyiugo Mbubaegbu and her son Chikodi Mbubaegbu.
“Since the redemption of the land donkey years ago, it is the mother of Chikodi Mbubaegbu, Mrs Ann Nwanyiugo Mbubaegbu that has continued to farm on the said land until they decided to sell it to solve a pressing family need.”
This is the Testimony of the Family that held the land on pledge until it was redeemed by late Isreal Mbubaegbu
“When the matter was brought before the Ndume Okonko Society, .they affirmed that the land belongs to Chikodi Mbubaegbu and his mother Ann Nwanyiugo Mbubaegbu since it their late father and husband who redeemed it, the documents are here and I will release them to you.”
When we started a project on the land, I complied with all the community’s demands including that of the youths and no one raised any objection until people who felt that the project is threat to them began to scheme and sponsor all these lies and fabrications you are seeing and hearing today.”
“The truth is that Mr Nnomele Mbubaegbu had lived in that shanty for more than 20 years, after he the court kicked out of late Mr. Isreal Mbubaegbu’ s house because he allegedly converted the house to his indian hemp smoking den and since 2009 till date that has been his house”.
“I do not want to go into the injuries inflicted on the carpenter working on my site and the materials carted away as the matter was reported to the police and they came and were also assaulted.”
This matter has since been under investigation by the police and is on the verge of being charged to court.
“One thing that gladdens my heart is that darkness has never conquered light for once and never will soft tissues of lies triumph over truth!
“Let those whose stock in trade is to profit from mischief continue in the end the truth will be established.”
“My name is Edwin Nnanna Oranwusi, and what I have told you here is the only truth, every other thing you hear elsewhere is mere scheming and plotting by those who think they can play God and twist the truth to please their inordinate desires, but my God does not sleep and will turn all their counsel to foolishness”, he concluded.
“Attached are documents released by Mr Oranwusi to back his claims!
